Solar Energy Louisiana State Incentives

Louisiana Home Energy Rebate Option - State Rebate
The following types of applicants are eligible to apply for the rebate program:
  • Residential

The following table shows the requirements in order to be eligible for the rebate:
Requirements for Eligibility
The rebate will apply to the purchase of any of the following systems:
  • Comprehensive Measures
  • Custom
  • Other systems/modifications pending approval

The rebate levels are mapped out below:
Amount: Up to 20% of costs
Maximum Rebate: $2000.00
New homes are not eligible any longer for this rebate. Existing homes must be improved by at least 20% efficiency to qualify.

Touchstone Energy Home Program
Residential applicants may be eligible to receive a rebate on the purchase of qualifying energy efficiency technologies, shown below:
  • Custom
  • Others pending approval

The rebate amounts are listed below:
Rebate Amount: $0.10 per square foot of living area
Additional Requirements:
  • R19 wall insulation
  • R30 ceiling insulation
  • Attic ventilation
  • R19 floor insulation over crawl spaces
  • Double Pane/Low-E windows
  • metal insulated/solid core wood door
  • air-sealed
  • exterior house wrap
  • metal duct insulation - min. 3"
  • energy efficient water heater - electric
  • high efficiency electric heat pump
All equipment that is the subject of a rebate request will be inspected to ensure the requirements on this page are met.
