Illinois State Rebate Program
DCEO - Solar and Wind Energy Rebate Program |
The following types of applicants are eligible to apply
for the rebate program:
- Commercial
- Federal Government
- Industrial
- Associations
- Residential
- State Government
- Nonprofit
- Schools
- Local Government
The following table shows the requirements in order to be eligible
for the rebate: |
| Requirements for Eligibility |
The rebate will apply to the purchase of any of
the following systems:
- Solar Water Heat
- Solar Pool Heating
- Solar Space Heat
- Photovoltaics (PV)
- Wind
The rebate levels are mapped out below: |
| Residential and Commercial: |
30% |
| Non Profit and Public: |
50% |
| Maximum Incentive: $50,000.00 |
Eligible System Sizes:
- Wind: Name Plate Capacity: 1 to 100 Kilowatts
- Photovoltaics: Capacity of at least 1 Kilowatt.
- Solar Thermal Systems: at least 50k BTU/day or at least 60ft2
collectors.

| Equipment and Installation
Requirements |
Photovoltaics Systems:
- UL Listed or completed 1 year of field testing
Solar Thermal Systems:
- Approved by SRCC or similar organization.
Small Wind Systems:
- Installation requirements are as follows:
Tower at least 60ft tall
Tower at least 30ft above natural obstructions
Located at least 300ft away from structures
On a land parcel at least 1 acre or larger
In a location suitable for wind generation.
