Idaho Renewable Energy Equipment Sales Tax Refund |
The following types of equipment can qualify for a 100%
sales tax refund after approval:
- Solar Thermal Electric
- CHP/Cogeneration
- Photovoltaics (PV)
- Fuel Cells
- Landfill Gas
- Geothermal Electric
- Biomass
- Hydroelectric
The equipment must serve a building capable of generating 25kW of
energy. |

| To qualify, appliances must be energy
star rated, ceiling fans must have light fixtures, central air
conditioning must have a SEER of 13 for existing homes, SEER of 14 for
new homes, and attic insulation will be paid up to maximum of R-50. If
replacing old insulation, the R-rating must be increased by at least 10. |

Summary: To qualify, the system must be capable of generating 25kW of
energy. The system must also be inspected by one of the approved
inspectors on this site.
You must also file your rebate claim within three years of the date
you paid the sales tax on the system.
